Behandeling Pneumocystis-pneumonie (PJP): eerste dag de standaarddosering van 1920 mg 3x per dag, vervolgens onderhoudsdosering 1920 mg 2x per dag. Monitor de spiegel van trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazol en N4-acetylsulfamethoxazol.

Profylaxe van Pneumocystis-pneumonie: eerste dag de standaarddosering van 960 mg 1x per dag, vervolgens onderhoudsdosering 480 mg 1x per dag.

Renal elimination: 20%

Renal function-replacement therapy

CAPD: eerste dag de standaarddosering van 960 mg 2x per dag, vervolgens onderhoudsdosering 480 mg 2x per dag of 960 mg 1x per dag. Bij PJP: zie boven.
