Oraal uitbehandelen

General comments

  • In de praktijk blijkt dat erysipelas en cellulitis lastig van elkaar te onderscheiden zijn. Beide infecties kunnen met flucloxacilline worden behandeld dat effectief is tegen zowel hemolytische streptokokken als Staphylococcus aureus.
  • Clindamycine po 3 dd 600 mg is een alternatief voor flucloxacilline po na initiele intraveneuze therapie. 
  • Overweeg antibiotica profylaxe indien 2 of meer episodes per jaar ondanks adequate therapie. Gedurende tenminste 6 maanden benzathinebenzylpenicilline im 1,2 ME 1x per 3-4 weken óf feneticilline po 250 mg 2 dd. Indien penicilline-allergie clindamycine po 600 mg 1 dd of azitromycine po 500 mg 1x per week.
