General comments
Behandeling van minimaal 14 dagen bij milde CMV colitis. In andere gevallen minimaal 21 dagen.
Valganciclovir 2dd 900 mg po kan ook gebruikt worden in plaats van ganciclovir i.v. Orale therapie wordt niet aangeraden bij levensbedreigende CMV ziekte, indien er vermoeden is op verminderde absorptie van valganciclovir of bij vermoeden van therapieontrouw.
Behandelen totdat klachten weg zijn en CMV PCR in plasma negatief is (aangeraden wordt om 1 - 2x/week te monitoren). Overweeg scopie om therapierespons te evalueren.
Indien mogelijk immuunsuppressiva afbouwen.
