Duur profylaxe:
PJP profylaxe is geïndiceerd zolang de verwachting is dat een patiënt een verhoogd risico heeft op een PJP infectie. Dit is afhankelijk van de indicatie voor het starten van PJP profylaxe en de te verwachten duur van het effect van immunosuppressieve therapie op de afweer na staken van behandeling. Bij prednison wordt geadviseerd dit 4 weken te continueren nadat steroïden zijn afgebouwd naar <20mg per dag.
