General comments
Bij pO2 < 70 mm Hg of 8-9 kPa toevoegen prednison:
dag 1-5 2 dd 40 mg;
dag 6-10 2 dd 20 mg;
dag 11-14 1 dd 20 mg
Na behandeling secundaire profylaxe - Co-trimoxazol po 480 mg 1dd of Pentamidine 300 mg vernevelen (in 6 ml steriel water) 1x per 4 weken
Co-trimoxazol in hoge dosering - Controle van sulfamethoxazolspiegel (overleg ziekenhuisapotheker)
Dapsone en Primaquine - G-6PD deficiëntie uitsluiten (ivm hemolyse)
Pentamidine - In > 2 uur infunderen, controle bloeddruk, nierfunctie, glucose, bloedbeeld
